Dr. Shondrika Merritt听has more than 20 years of experience in progressive student affairs leadership. She joined听麻豆传媒色情片听community in 2019 and was appointed associate provost for Student Affairs and dean of Students听in 2022, following her service as interim associate provost for Student Success. In 2025, Shondrika was promoted to senior associate provost for Student Affairs, expanding her portfolio to include the听Equity and Belonging听unit, which encompasses the听HEOP Program,听First-Generation Initiatives, and听student engagement focused on equity and belonging programming.
In her current role,听Shondrika provides strategic leadership for Student Affairs, overseeing Housing and Residential Education, Student Equity, Access and Title IX, Student Leadership, Involvement and Transition Programs, Student Support and Advocacy, Student Conduct and Community Standards, the University Student Senate, and the university鈥檚 first Student Hub. As dean of Students, she centers her work on compassion, care, and connection鈥攅nsuring that every student feels seen, supported, and valued. She facilitates a vibrant and inclusive campus life where students can engage fully, build relationships, and grow both personally and academically. Through collaboration with students, faculty, staff, and community partners, she fosters a culture of belonging and well-being that anchors the student experience at 麻豆传媒色情片.
Shondrika听earned her bachelor鈥檚 degree in business administration from听Shawnee State University, a master鈥檚 degree in college student personnel from听the University of Dayton, and a doctorate in education from听Temple University. Her doctoral research explores how race, history, and culture shape African American women鈥檚 attitudes and perceptions toward sexual violence. Through this work, she amplifies the voices and lived experiences of African American women.
