    William Milberg

    Profile

    William Milberg is the Henry H. Arnhold Professor of International Cooperation and Development and Professor of听听at 麻豆传媒色情片 for Social Research and Eugene Lang College, and Director of the Heilbroner Center for Capitalism Studies at 麻豆传媒色情片. He served as Dean of the 麻豆传媒色情片 for Social Research from 2013-2023 and as Chair of the Department of Economics from 1998-2001 and 2009-2012. 听His research focuses on the relation among globalization, income distribution and economic development, and the history and philosophy of economics. He teaches a graduate courses in international trade and the philosophy of economics, His undergraduate teaching includes 鈥淯nderstanding Global Capitalism鈥 and 鈥淏usiness, Innovation and Social Justice.鈥 His course on "Economics: Markets, Society and [In]equality" with Teresa Ghilarducci and Paulo dos Santos, is posted on Coursera.

    Milberg is Principal Investigator for the project on "Beyond Neoliberalism and 'Neo-illiberalism': Economic Policy and Performance for Sustaining Democracy," under grants from the Open Society Foundations and the Hewlett Foundation. He is also a member of the research team on "Monopsony in a Global Context." Both research projects are based at the Heilbroner Center.

    His most recent book (with Deborah Winkler) is听(Cambridge University Press). 听A previous book,听(Cambridge University Press) was co-authored with the late Robert Heilbroner. 听His paper with Peter Spiegler,听won the award for best paper of 2013 in the Forum for Social Economics.

    Milberg has consulted to a variety of UN organizations, including UNCTAD, the ILO and the WTO. He serves on the editorial boards of the International Review of Applied Economics, the Journal of Post Keynesian Economics and Politics and Society.
